There are quite a few netbooks being released and GeCube’s 10.2-inch (1,024 x 600 resolution panel) is one of them. It doesn’t look good for it with that 1.6GHz VIA C7-D processor, 80GB SATA hard drive, 512MB of DDR2 RAM ( additional slot to expand to 1024MB), WiFi, Ethernet and 3x USB 2.0 jacks. At Computex 2008, AMD presented two netbook models, the ones that will compete against Intel, VIA, and NVIDIA. One is a white 8.9-inch, low cost model with 1GB of RAM, AMD CPU, the ATI RS690 chipset and Linux operating system. AVING was the first to spot mini-note, powered with the new Nano processor at its core. This TongFang Imini S1 Mini-Note has 10.2-inch screen, 512 MB RAM, 80 GB 2.5″ Hard Drive. Acer has officially announced their new Aspire One notebook. This new 8.9-inch, 1024 x 600 pixel laptop is powered by Intel’s Atom processor and runs XP or Linux.

It will include up to 1GB of RAM, 802.11b/g WiFi, choice of 8GB of flash storage or 80GB hard drive, SD card slot to expand storage and webcam. Battery included is
3-cell, 2200mAh but there is optional 6-cell battery.

Germany’s Cizmo has announced a new laptops based on Intel’s upcoming Centrino 2 platform. The CX15, 15.4-inch ultra-portable notebook will be built with Intel’s power, P series Core 2 Duo processors running at speeds of between 2.26GHz (P8400) and 2.6GHz (P9400). Under exterior you will find Nvidia’s high-end GeForce 8800M GTX mobile graphics processor, 2GB of RAM, a 160GB HD, Blu-ray drive and 2-megapixel webcam. Thats quite impresive from not yet very known Germany’s Cizmo. So if you are interested you can look for it in Europe in the first half of June for a starting price of €1,499, or just over $2,400.
