Stratasys launched first multi-material full-color 3D printer Object500 Connex3 Color Multi-Material 3D Printer

Stratasys has launched at SolidWorks Wold in San Diego (California) first multi-material full-color 3D printer, the Object500 Connex3 Color Multi-material 3D Printer. This printer uses plastic and rubber as base materials but they can be combined to create various flexibility, rigidity, transparency and opacity. The company has bought in April 2012 Israeli multi-material specialist Object. According to Stratasys marketing manager Bruce Bradshaw, this printer will help reduce time, which take to bring prototypes to market by 50%. The Object500 Connex3 Color Multi-material 3D uses cyan. Magenta and yellow for color mixing and costs approx. $330,000.
