There have been reports that the Audi will not released RS variant of its luxury model A8 sedan or production version of Nanuk concept (it debuted at 2013 Frankfurt Motor Show). Audi’s quattro division chief engineer Stephan Reil has said, “Any RS would need to offer 20- to 25-percent more power than the same model in S guise. And in this light, a RS8 would not make sense”. Audi RS8 would have between 630hp and 655hp but Audi management believes that RS8 would have too much power although it could lure customers away from Mercedes-Benz S65. Audi Nanuk was never intended for mass production but the show car was built because Volkswagen chairman Ferdinand Piëch had opinion that Italdesign Giuguaro Parcour concept would look great wearing Audi’s emblem.
