High-end manufacturer Bang&Olfusen announced at the CEDIA conference its new wireless speaker platform that will provide a second-to-none multi-channel wireless experience and will be compatible with any WiSA-compliant device. The new wireless speaker technology will deliver 24-bit, uncompressed audio to either a pair of speakers or a full 7.1 surround setup. That will be possible with the WiSA open standard, which operates in the 5.2-5.8GHz range, along with some more proprietary tech from bang&Olfusen and Summit Semiconductor. They have oval rubber ring clip that is comfortable and are waterproof, so you can wash them in the water. They are available in 4 colors: black, blue, red and yellow. Apple released update for Apple TV, v6.0. The main addition is support for iTunes Radio (also available on Mac, Windows and iOS devices) and the ability to listen to music purchased from the iTunes Store directly. Other changes include podcast sync and access to shared Photo Streams. Important addition is also the ability to AirPlay content from one person’s iTunes/iCloud account to a separate person’s Apple TV.
