Germany’s Cizmo has announced a new laptops based on Intel’s upcoming Centrino 2 platform. The CX15, 15.4-inch ultra-portable notebook will be built with Intel’s power, P series Core 2 Duo processors running at speeds of between 2.26GHz (P8400) and 2.6GHz (P9400). Under exterior you will find Nvidia’s high-end GeForce 8800M GTX mobile graphics processor, 2GB of RAM, a 160GB HD, Blu-ray drive and 2-megapixel webcam. Thats quite impresive from not yet very known Germany’s Cizmo. So if you are interested you can look for it in Europe in the first half of June for a starting price of €1,499, or just over $2,400. Dell presented today redesigned version of laptops for small businesses, a trio of Vostro laptops. The model Dell Vostro 1310 comes with 13.3 inch screen and price starting at $749. Vostro 1510 has  15.4-inch screen and price starting at $599. Redesigned Vostra 1710 has 17-inch screen with price not yet known. New features are; touch sensitive button controls with backlit blue LED lighting  and a slot loading optical drive. The Vostro 1310 and 1510 will be available today in Europe, the Middle East and Africa while in North and South America from May 1st and Asia on May 5th. Later in May the Vostro 1710 will become available world wide. Dell continues offering the attractive 30-day worry-free return policy.

This concept desk looks like standard Ikea fare upon first glance, but a closer examination reveals a recessed middle that’s contoured for a custom Samsung laptop to dock into. Once locked in, the laptop keyboard sits flush with the rest of the desk, bringing new meaning to the term desktop PC. A novel idea, but I’d be more sold on the idea if it included connections to external accessories, like hard drives and speakers, when you docked the computer into the desk. Continue reading »
