Facebook’s new data center in Iowa will be powered by wind. This Facebook’s fourth data center will be powered by 138 MW wind farm (built by MidAmerican Energy), which willl be built in 2014 and new data center will start running in 2015. Facebook decided for Iowa, because this state has strong wind resources and Facebook wants to have ¼ of global data center energy consumption from clean power.
