A top Mercedes-Benz executive Thomas Weber has confirmed that Mercedes-Benz planning to introduce a convertible version of its new S-Class flagship and the convertible model has already been cleared for production. S-Class convertible will be based on the S-class coupe that debuted in concept form at the 2013 Frankfurt Motor Show. It will probably be powered vy a range of turbocharged V8 and V12 engines. High-performance AMG versions are also a distinct possibility. S-Class coupe will hit the market in 2015 and slot between the SL and SLS withing the Mercedes-Benz roadster lineup.
