It’s official that Nirvanix is shutting down its business. The cloud storage company was trying to play in the pure storage business, but this market became increasingly commoditized by Amazon Web Services, Google Compute Engine and Windows Azure. They have all been engaging in a price war and Nirvanix couldn’t offer no service on top of its storage, that’s why it couldn’t survive. The company has already closed its website, leaving just a statement and information how to get in touch with customer support. Nirvanix is putting its resources behind helping customers successfully move their data to different services, but customers need to actively participate in getting their data off the Nirvanix infrastructure. V7 released two versions of models V7 Elite. Those versions are coming in 128GB and 256FB sizes. They have 2.5-inch and feature MLC NAND flash memory chips, SATA 6.0 Gbps interface, Sandforce SF-2281 controller, TRIM support and can read/write up to 550MB/s and 530MB/s. They cost $150 and $280. The Korea Times is reporting that unnamed Samsung’s official said: “We’ve acknowledged that our Gear lacks something special. With more investment for user interface and user experience, Samsung devices will be better in terms of customer satisfaction.” At the same time in the article, Samsung’s vice president of strategic marketing is saying that the watch is definitely receiving a warm response. Rolls-Royce introduced the Wraith at the Geneva Motor Show earlier this year. This Rolls-Royce is powered by a 6.6-litre twin-turbo V12 and have 632 hp with 800Nm of torque. Its consumption is 14.0 litres per 100km, which drops to 9.8 liters per 100km on the extra urban style. The Wraith needs just 4.4 seconds for 100 km/h. It features ZF’s eight-speed gearbox, Rolls-Royce’s Satellite-Aided Transmission system (SAT).

Apple is updating the iMac line with Intel’s latest processors, faster graphics and speedy 802.11 ac WiFi capabilities. The new iMac features 2.7GHz quad-core Intel i5 processor (in the baseline 21.5-inch model) paired with Iris Pro graphics. The high-end 21.5-inch iMac and 27-inch models both include 3.4GHz processor and NVIDIA GeForce 700 series graphics. There is also available upgrade to Core i7 chips and GeForce GTX 780M graphics in the 27-incher. New models can deliver speed up to 1.3 Gigabits per second if you’re connected to an 802.11 ac capable base station. The new iMac is already available with Mountain Lion and pricing starts at $1,300.
