Olympus has launched an lime green edition of the µ 790 SW. This is a unique version of 5,000 units which are now on sale in Europe. That might well be termed as the “digital camera nearly indestructible”, which has protection against: beatings, water and freeze.The µ 790 SW offers a resolution of 7.1 megapixels, 3x optical zoom, LCD hipercristal 2.5 inches, facial recognition technology, multiple modes including four specific to shoot under water (up to 3 meters depth). We must also add the image processor, TruePic III.

Other highlights include LI-42B batteries and charger, internal memory expansion by xD cards, and 24 languages to choose the Olympus Master software in its version 2.03.

 Pentax Optio A40

Pentax has presented new models of camera, one of which, the Pentax Optio A40 we will practically be able to use like video camera, thanks to the support of compression video in DivX format. In addition with its technology to reduction of vibrations, mechanical as as much digital, we will not have problems if our pulse is not too good.

The camera has a sensor with resolution of 12 megapixels and optical zoom lens of 3x. Its back screen is of 2,5 inches and, like most of cameras lately, it has technology of detection faces with autoenfoque.

The screen to see the results of our photographies or videos, (that we will keep in 51MB of internal memory or a card SD/SDHC), is of 3 inches and has 230,000 pixels of resolution and seems that it does not consume too much energy because with so large his reduced, the Pentax Optio V10 allows us to throw up to 210 photos with one set of batterys.

 

 

The Japanese electronic product company Sony will send a camera that will count on the capacity automatically to take photos when it detects a smiling face, according to have informed to Kyodo sources into the company.The new product will be able to remove up to six photos followed in the automatic way and the user will be able to program three types of smile in the camera: a slight smile, a normal smile and an ample smile. Series T will come in two versions, model DSC-T200 with a screen of three inches and liquid crystal average and a price of 303 euros, and model DSC-T170 with a screen of three inches and a price of 253 euros.
