LG released three new Blu-ray burners the BE06 (on picture), GBC-H20L, and GBW-H20L. They all have SecurDisc capabilities and LightScribe technology, and are able to burn BD-Rs at 6x ( BD-REs at 2x). There are quite a few netbooks being released and GeCube’s 10.2-inch (1,024 x 600 resolution panel) is one of them. It doesn’t look good for it with that 1.6GHz VIA C7-D processor, 80GB SATA hard drive, 512MB of DDR2 RAM ( additional slot to expand to 1024MB), WiFi, Ethernet and 3x USB 2.0 jacks. Tranquil has its T7 and T2e Atom media PCs ready for shipping. The T7 is based on a fanless design (near silent) and its robust and customised to your requirements (can be mounted horizontally or vertically) with space for a 2.5-inch SATA drive.
But T2e is designed to be media rack, it can be fitted with a slot-loading DVD drive and place for 3.5″ SATA HDD 80GB. They both use Intel Atom CPU 230 running at 1.6GHz and have 512MB DDR2 RAM. Price for the T7 is $371 and for the T2e $554 US. Continue reading »

Kensington finally starts shipping its DisplayLink Dual Monitor Adapter. Device will let you hook up a second monitor ( and up to six monitors) with only a USB connections. Resolution supported for widescreen monitors is up to 1440 x 900 and for normal monitors up to 1280x 1024. Recently released drivers enable use of DisplayLink Dual Monitor Adapter with Macs in addition to XP and Vista. Price is $120, little higher than first estimated $100. Continue reading »
