France is famous for being proud of its local stores, considering them essential to bring culture to small villages. 3,000 independent bookstores have complained that they can’t compete with the cut-price offers online. The bill to support independent bookstores against competition from online retailers has been approved by the lower house and will now be sent to the Senate. If the new law will be approved by Senate, this will mean that companies like Amazon will be restricted from combining offers of 5% discounts with free deliveries. Currently the Samsung Galaxy Gear smartwatch is only fully compatible with Galaxy Note 3 but the company is looking into the possibility of making this smartwatch compatible with its smart TV, as well as other networked electronic devices. Galaxy Gear would probably work nicely as a controller for electronic devices and if it gains the ability to hook up to a smart TV, it would essentially act as a remote that they can carry with themselves easily.
