Apple fined by Taiwan's Fair Trade Commission for price-fixing

According to Wall Street Journal, Apple has improperly set prices for Taiwan’s three main wireless service providers (Chunghwa Telecom, Far Eastone Telecommunication Co. and Taiwan Mobile Co.) and was fined $670,000 by Taiwan’s Fair Trade Commission. Taiwan’s Fair Trade Commission discovered email correspondence between Apple and these three mobile service providers, in which companies submitted pricing plans for Apple’s approval. Apple could face $1.67 million fine if the company doesn’t obey Taiwan’s Fair Trade Commission orders but thus ruling applies only to iPhones.
