English body shop Auto Kandy is offering full paint jobs for temperature reactive paint. Currently, the price is $320 per liter and if you can’t afford full paint job, you can paint just brake calipers. On the picture you can see Nissan R33 Skyline with this reactive paint that changes from black to orange. As you can see even hands can trigger the color change. On a chilly day, car will be black but the hood will be orange from the heat of the engine. The heat-reactive paint is applied as a base coat underneath a clear coat but Auto Kandy offers variety of color combinations. There is also downside. This paint has 4-month shelf life for application and reactive properties degrade over time with exposure to sunlight.
