BlackBerry is suing Typo for patent infringement. Typo is a start-up that sells tactile keyboard which snaps on to Apple iPhones. Typo was co-founded by celebrity Ryan Seacrest and marketing executive Laurence Hallier. This keyboard is currently available for pre-order and costs $99. Steve Zipperstein, Blackberry’s general counsel said in a statement, “We are flattered by the desire to graft our keyboard onto other smartphones, but we will not tolerate such activity without fair compensation for using our intellectual property and our technological innovations.”
