Nokia LD-4W Bluetooth GPS Module
Nokia’s mini LD-4W Bluetooth GPS Module is by far the most attractive GPS module I’ve seen lately. It comes with a key ring and a belt clip and it looks sexy when its worn on either.
It comes with a LED indicator to alert you to GPS activation, power and battery status, and Bluetooth connectivity status.
Weight (31 g) and Dimensions (82.9 X 37 X 7.8 mm) can tell you that it is very small. Nokia LD-4W is compatible with a wide range of Nokia devices and Nokia Maps.
Some technical specifications: up to 11h, continuous tracking, SiRF Star III LT, 20 parallel channels, Nokia Sports Tracker, WGS84 (world geodetic system).
Nokia LD-4W Bluetooth GPS Module also can turn your mobile device into a navigator and you can tap in an address to Nokia Maps and let voice-guided directions take you there.
MTWO Technologies model 288 – portable GPS
There are a variety of satellite browsers but few of them are portable and come in small ideals to be carried anywhere.
One such case is the model 288, MTWO Tecnologies. They managed to develop a practical and easy GPS which also supports a variety of video and audio files (MPEG2, MPEG4, AVI, ASF and WMV video, MP3, WMA and WAV audio and images in JPG, BMP , GIF and PNG).
With regard to the integrated capabilities of the entire GPS, these are supported by a chip SiRF III and a Samsung ARM9 processor core. Images of roads and paths are displayed in a TFT LCD that achieves the average size 2.8 inches and about 480 x 272 pixels resolution. As for the operating system, we are talking about a Windows CE 4.2, but it might opt for version 5.1.
It also include Handsfree Bluetooth, a reader of books, 64 MB RAM and 64 MB of flash memory, a speaker and SD card slot up to 2GB complement.
