Taiwan’s Fair Trade Commission has fined Samsung in amount $340,000 Samsung in response to an online marketing campaign targeting HTC, because Samsung’s campaign has violated local fair-trade regulations. Samsung was paying shill commenters, that have posted negative feedback regarding HTC devices and praised Samsung’s devices. The company has promised to stop with shill online comments, but there are still rumors that the company is using software tricks to artificially inflate benchmark scores for its mobile devices.
