76 year-old Jean Bookout was driving 2005 Camry in Oklahoma when the car started to accelerate and the driver even used emergency brake to try to stop the car. Her passenger Barbara Schwarz has died in that accident. In this specific case, Toyota lawyers argued that Bookout have hit the gas rather than brake.
