If you have visited Yaahoo’s homepage in last few days you might have been exposed to Java-based malware through Yahoo advertising network and there was no click required to trigger the code. You just needed to visit the site displaying malware-laden ad and you could get up to six different malware packages installed. This ads were inframes hosted on five domains, which were redirected to a single IP address in Netherlands. Yahoo said in a statement: „We recently identified an ad designed to spread malware to some of our users. We immediately removed it and will continue to monitor and block any ads being used for this activity.” In the picture is distribution of infections by country.
